FAQ's

  • NO!  We will work on potty training at school.  Parents must provide diapers & wipes.  Unless medical information is provided, potty training will be a part of your child’s day.

  • YES!  The only difference is the time.

  • YES!  A healthy snack is provided every day.

  • MAYBE!  If your child attends FULL days, they will have the option of bringing their lunch or purchasing a school lunch.  To view a menu: Go to the Lincoln County RIII school district website and choose Early Childhood.

If your child attends HALF days, they will not eat lunch.

  • When to pay?  Tuition is always billed monthly, and an invoice will be sent directly to the email address listed as the primary parent's email address.  This will arrive approximately 2 weeks before the 1st of each month.  Tuition is due on the 1st of the month for that month’s tuition.  For example, October tuition is due October 1st, but you will have received the amount due no later than September 20th.  (The only exception to this rule is August.  August tuition is due on the first day of school).

How much to pay?  Tuition amounts do fluctuate each month.  This is because you are only billed for the days your child is scheduled to attend.  Some months we have more days off than others.

$15 for a half day and $30 for a full day.

How do I pay?  Every month, you can send a check to the school in a sealed envelope marked with your child’s name.  Put the envelope in your child’s folder so the teacher can find it.  You can also make payments on the Procare account (NOT THE APP) with your credit/debit card for a fee.  Directions for Procare are in the back to school packet.  If you are paying in cash, please come into the office so we can give you a receipt.

Payments received after the 3rd of each month will be assessed a $10 late fee.

  • YES!  If your child is absent for an illness or any other reason, you will be required to pay for that day’s tuition.

  • YES!  An AM latchkey is available from 6:30 am-9:00 am for children who attend full days or AM sessions.  The PM latchkey is available from 4 pm-5:15 pm for children who attend full days or PM sessions.  There is an additional cost for this, and it will vary depending on how many days it is used.  A cost sheet is available at Open House and upon request.

  • NO!  ECEC only has early release on the 2nd Wednesday of each month (NOT August).  There are, however, other early release dates due to Homecoming, Christmas break, and the last day of school.  PLEASE keep the calendar provided in your back to school packet.  You will be charged $1/minute past 12pm if you are late picking up your child.  Please pay attention to when the early release days are held every month.

  • YES!  Please call the office at 636-462-3020 to notify us that your child will not be in attendance.  If you know the night before, please leave us a message.  We will contact the bus barn if your child rides a bus.

If you have not called and your child does not arrive before 9:30 am or 1:30 pm, you will be contacted.  Calling or texting the bus driver is not sufficient.  For safety concerns, we want to verify the whereabouts of your child.

  • YES!  Your child will have a folder that needs to come back & forth to school in the backpack.  Things you might find in your child’s folder are weekly/monthly newsletters, parent reports, projects, and more!   Please put notes/tuition checks, etc. IN THE FOLDER with your child’s name clearly marked.  (The teacher does not always check your child’s book bag).  All teachers also have a classroom page on Parent Square (school/family communication app) where you will find pictures of your children doing activities at school.  Please Note:  If you ever have questions or concerns about your child, please do not hesitate to phone the school office at 636-462-3020 or email your child’s teacher.

  • We consider any time spent in a classroom with students as volunteering.  When arriving, please register at the IPAD located in the school foyer.  You will need your Driver’s License.   Your ID will be scanned into our background database, and if you are approved to volunteer, you will be given a badge to wear the entire time you are in the building.  Volunteering in the classroom provides the opportunity to take an active role in your child’s first school experience.  All volunteers will be helping with all of the children in the classroom.  Please schedule all volunteering with your child’s teacher.  Volunteers will never be alone with children and will be supervised by the teacher at all times.  When volunteering, you must find other arrangements for siblings.  This includes special events.

Each volunteer is expected to respect all children and agrees not to discuss any child outside of school.

Volunteers are not allowed to take pictures of any children.

  • Parents/guardians and anyone listed as an Emergency Contact can pick up your child.  It is your responsibility to keep the Emergency Contact list current.  We use a car loop to dismiss all students, and one car tag is issued per family.  It is your responsibility to keep track of the car tag with additional tags available for $2/each to be purchased by the parents only.

  • Learning takes place from the time school starts until the last minute of school.  We understand there are circumstances where you may need to arrive late or pick up early.  Please try not to make this an everyday occurrence as it disrupts the classroom and, in most cases, makes your child sad they are missing something.

    • If your child is late and they ride a bus, PLEASE call the office so the bus can be canceled.  If your child is late and needs lunch, PLEASE call the office because all lunches are entered by 9:30 am.  If your child arrives after 9:30 am, they must bring a lunch from home.
    • If you must pick up early, you need to arrive before 11:40 am or 3:40 pm. If you arrive after these times, you will be asked to wait for your child in the waiting room until normal dismissal time because it disrupts the flow of the car loop.
  • If Lincoln County RIII School District is canceled for any reason, the Early Childhood Education Center will NOT have school.  Families can find school cancellation notices on television channels 2, 4, or 5, the school district Facebook page, or the school website, or on KMOX 1120 AM and KWRE 730 AM.  You will also receive text messages and phone calls to the primary guardian listed for the child.
