Our Program
Parents as Teachers
Parents as Teachers is an organization that strives to support and educate the families of young children in the Lincoln County R-III School District. Families with children prenatal through Kindergarten entry are eligible for PAT services. The services include weekly or bi-monthly home visits, group connections, and screenings. Currently, the PAT program provides home visits to families experiencing life circumstances that would consider them high-needs or at-risk.
Developmental Screening
Every child ages 6 months to Kindergarten entering the Lincoln County R-III School District can receive ONE complete developmental screening each year. The screening can be done by the child’s Parent Educator or one of the screeners employed by the school. Day and evening appointments are available. Every preschool in the district, including the Early Childhood Education Center, offered these screenings to their currently enrolled children. Parents are also encouraged to call and schedule a screening if their child does not attend a preschool or receive PAT home visits. Each screening takes approximately 1 hour and includes all areas of development.
Please call 636-462-3020 to schedule your child's developmental screening.
